The archaeological site of Sarmizegetusa is located in the village of Grădiștea de Munte, Hunedoara County.
Ulpia Traiana Sarmizegetusa → The capital of the Roman province of Dacia, founded by Emperor Trajan after the conquest of the Dacian kingdom. Here you can find the ruins of a forum, an amphitheater, and several temples, which attest to the importance and wealth of the ancient city.
